SMOnline BETA has begun!  You need to have an  account a

Notes
NOTE:  Alpha  23, 24 and RC1/2  are all  compatible with 
eachother.  Any use can use any version.

It is advised that  all users switch  to alpha 24 or RC1
so that the /force_start command works.

ALPHA 23/24/RC USES  A NEW PROTOCOL.  IT IS INCOMPATIBLE 
WITH  ALL PREVIOUS  SMLAN VERSIONS!  (I.E. Alpha  22 and
below)

I have removed all old  versions of the files  from this
site  because people  would not listen.   You cannot use
the old  dedicated  server  with alpha 23.  The alpha 23 
server is inside stepmania.

If you need to obtaina copy of the older server, you can
personally contact me and explain why.

StepMania  Alpha 23 has  metrics In-Game!  This  means
that  there  is  no need  to  download  any additional
programs or servers  for the full SMLAN Experience.

SMLAN NEEDS YOU!
*If you have pictures of you and friends using SMLAN for
  a tournament, or for fun (in the  LAN setting) we want 
  them! we can  almost gaurentee  that if you  send your
  pic, we will display it on  our site. The more players
  at once -- the better.

Extra info
You can  still run  both server and client  from command
line by running stepmania like:

stepmania.exe --runserver=[servername] --netip=127.0.0.1

23NetMetrics.smzip contains bonus metrics that only work
with Alpha 23/24.Please do not install this on ANY OTHER
StepMania as it will break it.  It will let you Connect/
Disconnect from server without restarting stepmania.  

Themers -- add SMLAN to your theme
In order to add SMLAN to your theme. You have to add the
following:
