GAME DESCRIPTION ===================================================================== Lead Me Not… Since the Dawn of Time, with each passing Epoch and down through the Ages, Good and Evil have warred over the souls of Man. Each side toying with Man’s desires in an attempt to drawn his soul down to Damnation or raise it up to Salvation. Both Good and Evil have their own methods and tools at their disposal. Choose your side and your weapons. As the dawn breaks, the battle begins anew. General rules: Each Epoch consists of seven Ages; starting with Prehistoric and moving forward towards the Future (denoted by Man’s apparel). An Age begins as the Sun begins to cross the sky and ends when it sets. Man begins in a neutral state of Karma (Green). Through each Age, man’s Karma automatically improves as he lives his life. At the close of each Age, Man’s Karma will be weighed and if found to be lacking he will sink to a lower karmic state, or, if he avoided the temptations around him and bettered his karma, he will rise to higher karmic state. Karmic states are denoted by Man’s color; in order from lowest to highest – Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and White. If Man should either sink from Red or raise from White his soul has found its destiny and is either Damned or Saved. Play will continue through the Ages until Man is Saved or Damned. Specific Rules: As Good, you are privy to how attractive each Vice is to Man in each Age. Before each Age begins, you will convert one Vice into its corresponding Virtue (i.e. – covert Lust into Chastity). Man will still be just as attracted to it in the world, but it will now serve to better his Karma instead of lower it. Choose wisely, as each Vice may only be converted to a Virtue once per Epoch. In this way, Evil will, if he pays attention, be able to deduce what Virtues remain available to you as the Epoch winds down. If he does so, he will avoid placing the Virtue into the world and Man will be at his mercy. All is not lost, you may also influence man by acting as his conscience. You may use your influence to alter how attractive each Vice is to Man (even to the pint of his ignoring it completely). But you only have so much influence to exert before Man ignores his conscience in favor of his baser instincts. As Evil, you have seven Vices available to tempt Man’s soul (Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Hate, Sloth, Envy, and Pride). The attractiveness of each Vice changes with each passing Age, but you will never know how much Man desires each Vice. As the Age dawns, you may begin to place Vices into the world; you may place them freely into the world, but will not be allowed to place them too closely to Man or each other. Beware! Good will thwart your plans by converting one of your Vices into a Virtue in each Age (you will know this by seeing a Heart icon instead of a Skull when Man indulges in a Vice). Try and determine which of your Vices has been switched quickly and then avoid placing any more of it. Each Vice may only be converted once per Epoch, so keep track as Good’s choices become more limited and try and second guess him from the start of each Age. Good can also influence Man by nudging his conscience (even to the point of ignoring a Vice altogether). You only have until sunset to corrupt Man, so watch how he moves through the world and use all the weapons at your disposal to lure Man to his doom. KNOWN ISSUES ===================================================================== This is extremely buggy. Also, not terribly well balanced. One of the biggest known issues is only two people can play (Despite the server supporting more). Additionally, the system will misbehave if both players select good deity or bad deity. Apparently, the server crashes randomly, too. :(.
